Let's Scrap Weekly challenge 5-4-11
The sketch.....

Here is my take on the sketch....
I've scrapped a piece of history here, this is Fort Amiel and was used during the Anglo-Boere War from around 1881. It is now a Musuem that can be visited.
Paper: BoBunny Timepiece and Colormates.
All embellies from BoBunny except the metal embellies which is from Tim Holtz.
I used a waterfall booklet to add a bit of history around our town Newcastle in Northern Kwazulu Natal.
There is also a small pocket with a newspaper snippet from 8 April 2011 where they have found coins in the area dating back to the War.

Cupcake Craft Challenge 140 - Something beginning with "C"
...Something Beginning with 'C'... We'd like you to include something beginning with 'c' on your work; cupcakes, cherries, cars, circles, cerise, cyan, choklit, Christmas, clean and simple. You name it, so long as it begins with 'C', you can play it! Don't forget to tell us what your 'C' is in your post.
"C" for cot mobile...........
I used felt to make the little strawberries and embroidered little frenchknots with yellow embroidery floss.
The pattern for the strawberries I found on "Valita's Fresh Folds" check out her site for beautiful cards, etc.
I added little plastic beads above the strawberries.
I used an embroidery hoop's inner ring to make the top, tied ribbons all around and cut them neatly.
The strawberries are tied to thin satin ribbon onto the ring and than pulled through a big metal bead and tied to a key ring. A green bow is added to hide the knot in the red ribbon.
